For your hard surface floors, we recommend products from BonaKemi, a Swedish company which has been making the world's best hardwood floor finishing and care products since 1919. BonaKemi products have been available in the United States since the early '80s. The company's products range from sanding machines to finishes, application tools, and floor care products, all produced with durability, beauty, and environmental responsibility in mind.

Parkhurst Flooring carries a full line of Bona Floor Care products, including the Complete Floor Care System pictured at right. It includes 32 ounces of Swedish Formula Hardwood Floor Cleaner, a MicroPlus mop head on a three-piece pole, and a washable microfiber cleaning pad.

We also carry Bona's Hard Surface Floor Refresher, a polish for all hard surface floors, including laminates, terrazzo, unglazed tile, stone, and sealed porous marble. It adds a highly durable gloss shine to floors that are dull, scratched, or showing signs of wear and tear.

Bona's microfiber dusting pads were designed for dry dusting of all hard surface floors. It attracts dust, pet hair, and common allergens from the floors. The pad is reusable, washable up to 300 times, in the end making it more economical than disposable dry dusting pads.

For your carpeted floors, Parkhurst recommends Capture Carpet Cleaning products by Milliken.  The Capture system has been around for over 20 years, and is great for cleaning stains or spills on synthetic and wool rugs and carpet. It's completely safe for use around both children and pets.

With the Capture approach to cleaning, there's no wet mess, no waiting for your carpet to dry, no concern about mildew or bacteria forming in your carpet. There's no machine to rent or haul back and forth to the store. No residue or detergent is left behind to attract new dirt.

How does it work? You mist the stain with the Capture Cleaner/Activator. You then cover the area with the delicately scented powder made up of thousands of tiny, porous particles, which look and act like little sponges. Then brush the particles to make sure they are in contact with the stain. After thirty minutes, vacuum up the powder, which brings with it the dirt, odor and allergens that were attached to your carpet fibers.
